Disneyland Paris 2024

We recently traveled to Disneyland Paris from the U.S.A. and here are a few of the things we learned.
Our trip started in Paris for a few days, which I will write about in another post. We traveled from Paris to our hotel, Disney’s Sequoia Hotel. We opted to use Uber, as we had a lot of luggage and didn’t want to mess with the train, but the train is convenient and very manageable.
I downloaded the Disneyland Paris App on my phone prior to arrival. The app had our park tickets and hotel reservation, among other useful information, including maps. We were also able to check in online, which expedited our check-in process when we arrived.
The Sequoia Hotel is a little dated, but had plenty of restaurants, bars, social space and character greetings with very small lines. A few things, from one spoiled American to another, to keep in mind at the hotel:
1. You must ask for washcloths if you want them, and they will look at you confused, but ultimately hand them over
2. The beds were hard and full size, not queen
3. The hairdryer leaves a lot to be desired, but does actually dry your hair…slowly
4. Shower pressure, like most of Europe, is not good
5. The TV only has a few channels and only one that was in English for kids and played the same show on a loop. I usually travel with our Amazon Firestick, but forgot it and paid the price of evening boredom
The Disneyland Paris Resort is compact. From our hotel, we were able to walk to Disney Village (a very small version of Disney Springs) in about 3 minutes, also saving time using the security line available for Disney Resort guests only. The parks are a quick 4–5-minute walk beyond the security checkpoint.
The Disney Village has a Rainforest Café, McDonalds, Five Guys and a few other options but our favorite was the Royal Pub, due to its solid menu and fair prices.
All in all, for the price we paid for the hotel and parks package, Disneyland Paris is a good value, and the Resorts size makes it more convenient to that of Orlando.
